Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Phek, delivered the welcome address. Dr. M. H. Khan and Dr. Ajay Kumar Yadav of ICAR–IVRI, Bareilly, highlighted scientific practices in the animal husbandry sector, while Dr. Esther Longkumer spoke on scientific technologies in agriculture. Mrs. Vesalu Puro, Mrs. Vezokholu Chuzho, Mrs. Kuhukhrulu Khamo, Chizami Seed Bank and TOPS – Treasures of Phek Society were felicitated for their contributions to farming, indigenous seed conservation, floriculture and value addition. The awardees shared their experiences, followed by farmer–scientist interactions and the distribution of bags and agricultural toolkits. Mr. Manjunath K. S. moderated the programme. The event highlighted the importance of empowering women farmers through scientific knowledge and improved agricultural technologies.
